Ventoniemi through the decades
According to Section 48 of the Public Transport Act (869/2009), the holder of a transport license must define the quality of the transport services they provide. The license holder is also required to monitor the fulfillment of the quality promise they have formulated.
Offered transport services
Ventoniemi Oy provides scheduled route and charter bus services primarily in Southern Finland.
Our values are: safety, reliability, friendliness, progressive operations and active development, as well as, naturally, success and financial profitability.

Charter services
We offer charter transport services both in Finland and abroad. Our main operating area is the Helsinki metropolitan region and Southern Finland.
In Finland, we serve all customer groups. For charter operations, we employ nearly 100 professional bus drivers.
Our international customer groups include, among others, cruise ship guests as well as groups traveling to the Baltic countries and Russia.

Information
We provide information about routes, timetables, and possible changes in our timetable publication. You can find detailed information on our routes and schedules, as well as any exceptional travel days on Matkahuolto’s website at www.matkahuolto.fi.
We generally implement service changes at the turn of the year and at the beginning of June. These changes are also announced separately in newspapers.
For possible disruptions, our on-call service operates 24/7. Through the duty service, we also handle unforeseen changes related to charter trips.
Tickets
All Matkahuolto ticket products are available, and we are also part of the Matkahuolto information system (www.matkahuolto.fi). In addition to single tickets, several discounted ticket products are available, such as commuter, regional, and city tickets.

Skilled personnel
We provide our staff with regular training. Our drivers are experienced customer service professionals, many of whom are multilingual. All of our drivers have received training in economical and environmentally friendly driving practices. Our repair and maintenance staff are trained to work with the latest fleet technology, and they follow environmentally responsible practices in their daily work. Our buses are also washed and cleaned with environmental considerations in mind.
The way our staff operate is based on our values and quality objectives. The practices that support these objectives are described in the Driver’s Handbook, which is regularly updated. Each driver also has specific instructions for different tasks, such as ticket handling.
Our staff receive information through daily interaction with other drivers, supervisors, and management. In addition, a staff bulletin is distributed to all employees every two weeks. Urgent updates are published immediately on a dedicated staff information site.
Our busses
We operate a fleet of 53 buses, with seating capacities ranging from 18 to 66. Most of our buses are equipped for charter services, including features such as air conditioning, WC, DVD, WiFi, seatbelts, and more.
Our drivers assist passengers with reduced mobility and disabilities. We also operate accessible buses with assistive equipment in service traffic in Riihimäki.
Customer satisfaction and feedback
Customer satisfaction is one of our most important values.
Satisfaction is measured through occasional customer surveys conducted on board our buses. Through the feedback form on our website and direct customer feedback, we aim to receive valuable insights into the quality of our services.
All feedback is handled immediately, and customers receive a prompt response. Our goal is to process all customer feedback within one working day. Any necessary corrective actions are carried out without delay.
We compensate customers for any immediate inconvenience caused by incorrect or insufficient service. Refunds and compensation are always negotiated on a case-by-case basis.
We ask customers to report any shortcomings in our service as quickly as possible, as this helps us resolve the matter more effectively.
